You're high-functioning on the outside. But inside, something feels off — anxious, stuck, or like you're running on empty. I'm Rima Danielle, MFT, and I help self-aware adults like you heal at the root, not just manage symptoms. Virtual sessions for clients in California & Nevada.
Does This Sound Like You?
Maybe from the outside, it looks like you've got it all together. But inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like you're stuck on repeat. The same patterns keep showing up — even after the podcasts, the journaling, the self-help books.
Anxiety that hijacks your focus, keeps you up at night, or makes it hard to slow down
Emotional burnout — the to-do list keeps growing but your sense of joy has faded
People-pleasing and boundary struggles that leave you exhausted and resentful
Low self-worth — comparison, imposter syndrome, never feeling quite enough
Old trauma or family patterns you're ready to heal but don't know how to face
ADHD or scattered focus — feeling like your brain is running in too many directions
That nagging stuckness — everything looks fine on paper, but you know you're meant for more
The Approach
Traditional therapy often stays in the mind. Holistic therapy supports your whole system — emotional, physical, nervous, and even spiritual. We explore how your thoughts, emotions, body, and past experiences weave together, and how to create lasting change from the inside out.
In our sessions, you'll have a safe, judgment-free space to slow down, get honest with yourself, and explore the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. We work at the roots — not just the branches.
The result isn't just feeling better. It's becoming more you.
How We Work Together
No two healing journeys are the same. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities depending on what best serves you in each phase of our work together.
Identify and restructure the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, self-doubt, and unhelpful behavior — with practical tools you can use between sessions.
Trauma and stress live in the body, not just the mind. Somatic work helps you release what talk alone can't reach — building nervous system regulation from the ground up.
Work directly with the subconscious mind to shift deep patterns, release emotional blocks, and accelerate healing. Custom-recorded sessions you keep forever.
Explore the different parts of yourself — including the ones that developed to protect you — with compassion and curiosity rather than shame or judgment.
Practical mindfulness — not as a wellness trend, but as a genuine tool for becoming present with yourself, your body, and your choices.
Understand how early experiences and family patterns shaped the strategies you're still running today — and choose something different.
What We Work On
Racing thoughts, perfectionism, social anxiety, health anxiety, and the constant hum of worry — addressed at the root, not just managed on the surface.
Complex trauma, childhood wounds, and attachment injuries. We work with the nervous system and body to safely release what's been stored for years.
Chronic overgiving, emotional depletion, and the loss of meaning. We go beyond rest — rebuilding your relationship with yourself and your limits.
Not just sadness, but the flatness, disconnection, and loss of self that depression creates. Grounded, compassionate support for the whole experience.
Emotional dysregulation, executive function struggles, and the exhaustion of a brain that works differently — with strategies built for how you actually think.
People-pleasing, imposter syndrome, not knowing who you are outside of what you do. We rebuild self-trust from the inside out.
Career shifts, relationship changes, grief, relocation, or simply outgrowing who you used to be. Support for the in-between.
Communication patterns, boundary issues, codependency, and the difficulty of expressing what you really need — with partners, family, or at work.
You don't need a crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes you simply know you're capable of more — and you want a guide for the deeper work.
"Healing isn't about perfection — it's about returning to what's real."— Rima Danielle Jomaa, MFT
Your Therapist
I'm not your typical therapist. I live full-time in the jungle of Costa Rica, and I bring that grounded, intentional way of living into every session. I know what it's like to struggle, sacrifice, and make hard choices in service of living honestly and fully. I live what I teach.
With 17+ years of experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist, I guide clients with tools that are practical, effective, and rooted in real life. My role isn't to fix or judge — it's to walk beside you as you navigate your own healing path, with structure, support, and zero pretense.

Common Questions
Holistic psychotherapy blends traditional talk therapy with integrative methods — mindfulness, hypnotherapy, somatic techniques — to support your emotional, mental, and physical well-being as a whole. Rather than just managing symptoms, we work at the root level: how your nervous system responds to stress, how past wounds shape your present, and how your body stores emotion.
Yes. I accept Aetna, AllSavers UHC, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, Providence Health Plan, UMR, UnitedHealthcare, and several others. Contact me to verify your specific plan and coverage details.
All sessions are virtual via secure video. I work with clients who reside in California or Nevada. I'm based in Costa Rica and offer all therapy online — which means no commute, no waiting room, and sessions that fit into your actual life.
Traditional therapy often focuses on thoughts and behaviors. My approach also addresses the body, nervous system, subconscious patterns, and past wounds. I integrate CBT, somatic work, hypnotherapy, inner child work, and mindfulness — whatever serves you best — rather than a rigid one-size-fits-all model.
Every healing journey is different. Some clients experience significant shifts within a few months; others choose longer-term work for deeper transformation. We set goals together early and revisit pace regularly — you're always in the driver's seat.
Absolutely not. Many of my clients come to therapy not because something is "wrong," but because they know they're capable of more and want a structured space for growth. You don't need a diagnosis or a breaking point to deserve support.
